The Latina Success Leadership Program created by Belzer and Auso from the Center for Creative Leadership, a top global leadership institute, is delivered annually and consists of four sessions over a four-month period. The sessions focus on empowerment, networking and resilience, personal branding and civic engagement.
There is value in knowing our history. MANA de San Diego, a local community organization of mostly Latinas, is celebrating its 35th anniversary this week.
San Diego Gas & Electric Company has been supporting MANA de San Diego programs, which include Hermanitas and the Latina Success Conference, for over a decade.

NBC 7 sat down with four San Diego County high schoolers, including two senior Hermanitas Jackie and Lucia, from the class of ’22.
Cristina Sanchez-Kerr, and The Arboreta Group, are the primary grant writers for MANA de San Diego and they play an important role in bringing in necessary funding for their programs.
A survey released this week by MANA de San Diego highlights the barriers Latinas face at the workplace, including discrimination and sexual harassment, as well as additional challenges for those who also have caregiving responsibilities.
MANA de San Diego commissioned a study conducted by the Kim Center for Social Balance looking at four metric areas impacting Latinas in the workforce, including workplace environment, advancement and compensation, policies and organizational support, and supervisor relationships.
MANA de San Diego (MANASD) will award $62,000 in scholarships to local Latinas pursuing higher education, the organization announced Wednesday. MANA scholarship participants attend some of California’s top universities and colleges. The program has handed out more than $500,000 to more than 500 Latinas.
